Make an Appointment - TaxAide Tax Preparation

Make an appointment in 3 steps. Step 1: Select a staff member. Step 2: Select an available date. Step 3: Select an available timeslot.

From February through April 14, EPL is pleased to host IRS-certified AARP Tax aide volunteers to assist you with filing your taxes, every Tuesday.

Appointments run 1/2 an hour, from 9AM-5PM. Sign up today to meet with your Tax Aide volunteer.

 

Tax Aide will make every effort to complete your tax return in one visit if you come prepared. Please bring:

  1. a photo ID and Social Security Number (either your social security card or the Annual statement of earnings or a copy of a Tax Aide return for the Prior Year)
  2. All documents related to current year income and possible deductions. Copies of property tax paid, or rental information, can be important for Maine refunds.
  3. For clients new to Tax Aide, a copy of the Prior Year return can be very helpful.
  4. Bank account information: IRS refunds by check in the mail will be very slow this year. Routing and account numbers received over the phone are not a good idea.
  5. Generally a Taxpayer (or both if married filing a joint return) should be Physically Present to sign the return. But exceptions may be made by the site coordinator for those homebound due to disability or illness.
