Maine Climate Council Public Meeting in Ellsworth In-Person
Ellsworth was picked as one of six locations of the Maine Climate Council's Public Meeting Series which runs in September 2024. We are excited and proud to partner with the Maine Climate Council (MCC) to host this event!
The MCC hosts this public workshop to hear from our Ellsworth area residents about what is important to them and their community as the State takes action to prepare to update the Maine Climate Action Plan later this year.

About Maine's Plan For Climate Action
"Maine Won’t Wait" is the state's four-year climate action plan aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 45% by 2030 and 80% by 2050, while also building resilience against climate impacts. The plan focuses on renewable energy, energy efficiency, transportation, natural climate solutions, and protecting communities. It emphasizes collaboration across sectors, public engagement, and investment in sustainable practices to safeguard Maine’s environment and economy for future generations. The strategy also addresses economic opportunities, public health, and equity in the transition to a low-carbon future.
