Frenchman Bay Conservancy's 7th Annual Pumpkin Hike In-Person
The Pumpkin Hike is coming to the Riverwalk Trail! Come along on Wednesday, October 29, to hike the jack o’ lantern-lit trail and enjoy a festive celebration. The Riverwalk trail will be lined with excellently carved pumpkins from our community members. Join us and wear your spooky outfits or Halloween costumes, enjoy festive snacks provided by the Ellsworth Public Library, and vote for your favorite pumpkin! There will be prizes for the Pumpkin Contest!
The Pumpkin Hike will be on display and open to the public from Wednesday, October 29 to Sunday, November 2. Every night at 5 PM, the pumpkins will be lit with tea candles, illuminating the trail for all to enjoy. Stop by the Riverwalk to enjoy and hike at your own pace!
The downstairs of the library will be open, making accessible the Riverview Room to warm up. You will be able to use the downstairs ADA accessible bathrooms.

The Riverwalk Trail
The Riverwalk Trail follows along the edge of the Union River right in Downtown Ellsworth. The trail begins behind the Ellsworth Public Library and is a short walk on relatively fl at and level surface, with smooth slopes and wide trails. The trail ends at an overlook where visitors can stop, relax, and take in a view of the river. Parking is available along State Street or at City Hall.
