About Martha Dudman:
Martha Tod Dudman is the author of six books: Dawn (Puckerbrush Press, 1989), Augusta, Gone (Simon & Schuster, 2001), Expecting to Fly (Simon & Schuster, 2004), Black Olives (Simon & Schuster, 2008) Sunrise & the Real World (Islandport Press) and her most recent novel, curio. Augusta, Gone was adapted as an award-winning Lifetime production.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in Washington, D.C, Dudman went to Antioch College and moved to Maine in 1975, first to Little Cranberry Island, then to Northeast Harbor, just down the road from Acadia National Park.

Dudman is a Director of the Maine Humanities Council and a Selectman for the Town of Mount Desert. She was President and General Manager of a group of radio stations in Ellsworth and Bangor, then worked with Gary Friedmann & Associates as a professional fundraising consultant, helping raise millions of dollars for Maine nonprofits. Over the years she has served on many boards including the Maine Association of Broadcasters and National Association of Broadcasters, Bangor Rotary Club, and the Northeast Harbor Library.
