Author Talk with Mac Cassell: "The Boys of the 'Sally Ann'" In-Person
Author Mac Cassell will discuss his newest book, Lead Crew: The Boys of the “Sally Ann” (2023), and share what he has learned while researching family members who served in World War II. This is a book about the author's father and his B-24 Crew during their time in England from 1943 - 1945. The story is derived from a shoe box of letters by the pilot, Harrison S. Cassell Jr to his bride Sally, his journal, various crew scrapbooks, photos, and military records. Cassell's book tells the story of all-American young men in a war far from home who were committed to doing whatever it took to end the War.
A limited number of autographed copies will be available for sale, cash only ($20 per copy).
