Parent-Child Workshops In-Person
The Ellsworth Public Library will be hosting our Family Place Parent-Child Workshop on Thursday mornings from 10:30 – 12 noon from Thursday October 10 - November 7. This workshop is for parents/caregivers with children ages 1-3 years (older and younger siblings may attend). This five-week program provides a rich environment of toys, books, fun and art activities. Families will have the opportunity to spend time together, make new friends, and talk one-on-one with a different community resource professional each week. Community resource specialists discuss child development, speech and hearing, nutrition, play and music/movement.
DATES & TOPICS:
October 10: Keli Gancos, EPL Youth Program Supervisor, will introduce the workshop setup and different resource professionals.
October 17: We will focus on nutrition and share handouts and recipes.
October 24: Hannah B Whitmore is a Help Me Grow Family Support Specialist with the Department of Health and Human Services
October 31: Desiree (Desi) Peña, M.A., CCC-SLP, Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist and Owner of Panorama Speech Therapy, LLC
November 7: Carla Tanguay, Owner/operator of Modulations Therapies | Music Therapy | Maine
