Homeschool Hour In-Person

Learn, Create, and Connect!

Join us for Homeschool Hour, a fun and welcoming space for homeschool families to come together and explore new themes each week! Whether it’s hands-on activities, creative projects, or discovering something new, there’s always something exciting in store. Homeschool Hour isn’t just about learning—it’s also a great way to meet and connect with other families in the homeschool community.

Today, we are focused on Coding. Are you interested in learning to code and having fun at the same time? Parents and children will work together to complete a project and explore the possibilities of coding. Participants get introductory experience with coding and computer science in a safe, supportive environment. Hour of Code gives kids the tools to be content creators, rather than just consumers!

Your Guide at this Homeschool Hour
The program will be presented by Cecilia Zavestoski who taught computer science, before retiring, and has worked with the Hour of Code since 2014.

Registration Details
We encourage participants to bring their own devices and headphones if you are able to.
Please specify when you register your child whether they will be planning on bringing a laptop or other portable computer.
This will allow more kids to participate as we free up the use of our limited in-house devices to kids who don't have them.
