Owl Box Building Demonstration | Maine Craft Weekend 2026 In-Person
Join us for an interactive workshop where participants will learn how to build an owl box, a safe, natural nesting place that helps support local owl populations. During this demonstration, attendees will discover the basics of owl habitat needs, explore the purpose and design of owl boxes, and gain practical experience using the essential tools required for construction.
Experienced carpenters will guide participants step-by-step through measuring, drilling, assembling, and safely handling tools. Whether you’re a seasoned DIYer or trying out woodworking for the first time, this program offers an engaging way to learn new skills while supporting local wildlife. This event will be held on the library lawn.
Grayson Richmond, the director or Birdsacre, will give a short introduction on owl habitats!
