SUMMARY:December Exhibition: John Lanpher III
DESCRIPTION:Born in 1985 to John Jr. and Cindy Lanpher\, John III grew up 
 in Southwest Harbor\, Maine\, with his only sibling—Derek. I have two 
 daughters—Sophia and Avery. I never really had much artistic ability 
 growing up—not in the traditional sense\, anyway. I learned to be a mason 
 (and many other life lessons) from my dad that helped me on my way. I seem 
 to recall failing art class because my 8th-grade self-portrait was a stick 
 figure. It wasn’t until the age of 36 that I picked up the brush and 
 began to paint. As I did so\, I quickly developed a passion for it. Over 
 the next 9 months\, I produced around 40 some odd pieces\, many of which 
 are included in this show.\n\nThe exhibition is on display during regular 
 library hours. Please note that the library is closed on Sundays and that 
 the Riverview Room might be occupied by a program. Please check our 
 calendar prior to your visit.
